Jerome Richard "Rick" Hale's Portfolio

I chose a minimalist design for my portfolio in order to highlight my coding and content management experience over graphic design. I am largely self taught when it comes to web design, but I pick up coding and design lanaguages and content managemnt systems when I use them regularly. I have a rather informal personal coding style, but readily adapt to the standards of my clients or the design house.

I have the ability to produce eye-catching websites suitable for color monitors, although my graphic design experience is minimal. I am well-versed with a variety of content managers such as Drupal, WordPress and Joomla.

Over the past decade, I have come to believe that the best web solutions are the ones that allow anyone (even the technically impaired) to publish their information as effortlessly as possible. I have created and implemented my own content managment systems, but I no longer see the point of doing this when there are so many great tools out there. I decided that for my portfolio I would produce a simple PHP site to show I know the basics, which is prtty much all you need to effectively manage a content management system.
